Mom... I guess that's me
I'm sure i'll think of something interesting to put in here eventually, but lets leave it at i'm the person who feeds, cleans, trims, bathes and protects the ferrets from any rampant small boys on rollerblades.
I'll add stuff n pictures of the boys and Mike, who are the rest of us, and if you're lucky you'll even get pictures of the snakes, yes we have snakes too.. surprisingly enough, they haven't eaten the ferrets yet!!
Mike and I have been together for what seems like forever, the boys came along 9 and almost 11 years ago and have been keeping everyone on their toes ever since.
Ferrets are the perfect pets for the older child, i'd not suggest them for small children as they can break if handled too roughly. But on a good note, are fast enough, slinky enough and certainly sneaky enough to hide from a preteen with little or no trouble.

How we ended up with Weasles!
Funnily enough it was an accident, I was at the pet store to buy a ratsicle (frozen rat) for the snake and just happened across these two rather adorable stretch rats, I'd never held a ferret before and fell in love, on the spot, insantly and forever with the adorable little ankle biters.
The rest is history really.
And Then......
We did expand our inventory of upholstered slinkies by two, by visiting one of our local ferret rescue's here in Virginia Beach. We walked out with Widget and Snooze, I'm sorry to say that Widget turned out to be a child biter, she'd been badly abused as a kit and although she was fine around adults, would attack any child upon site, and not gently, so we returned her to the shelter.
*NEWSFLASH* Widget was adopted two days later by a young couple looking for a fourth female, no other pets and no children. She's apparently doing extremely well and hasn't bitten anyone since she's been taken in by Mark and Karen. Way To Go Guys!!
